Support for the next step.

Bridge Training was created to help young women move from school into the wider world, with support at different stages of the Afafanto Scholarship.

Orientation brings newly selected scholars together with the Leah’s Dream staff. Students receive books and supplies, meet one another and become familiar with expectations for high school.

The published program describes computer training during the second year, including basic skills, an email address and encouragement to communicate with mentors.

As students approach the end of high school, skills and assertiveness training offer practical preparation for what comes next. The program describes opportunities to learn an income-earning skill, alongside counseling and support with planning.
