Larabanga, near Mole National Park, has a longstanding connection with Leah’s Dream. The organization’s original account describes support for the primary and junior high school through donations of books to the library Leah started.
The village is also part of the Afafanto Scholarship story. The original page describes scholars from Larabanga and the welcome offered by local women during visits to Northern Ghana.
Leah’s Dream helped women begin a charcoal briquette project. Training was intended to provide an alternative cooking fuel and an opportunity to earn income by selling briquettes. The original account also mentioned a future microfinance program; that plan is not presented here as completed work.
